Job Summary
Role would include medical receptionist duties in a fast-paced medical office.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities under this position include, but are not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Scheduling and connecting all patients with appropriate services
- Collecting payment at time of service
- Having an understanding of insurance and ability to look into costs
- Verifying appointments and setting expectation of financial responsibility
- Following up on pending referrals
- Communicate with referral sources via email and fax
- Verifying insurance coverage prior to new appointments.
Must be able to work well with our team as well as navigate busy times at the office. Must be compassionate and eager to assist patients.

Required:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Problem solving skills
- Basic level skill in electronic medical records systems
- Advanced level skill in scheduling
- Friendly & helpful demeanor
Preferred:
- Extensive experience answering multi-line telephone system
- Knowledge of verifying medical insurance
- Strong communication skills
