Fall Focus raises awareness about human trafficking, opioid epidemic and custom clothing for individuals with Downs Syndrome.

  • President Kris Firth lead the annual Fall Focus meeting at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the Lake hosting 35 Alliance members from all over Ohio. The speakers included Laura Bartchak of the Harriet Tubman Movement and Angella McMahan sharing stories of helping victims of human trafficking in our communities.
  • Karen Bowersox the creator of the DownsDesignsDreams and NBZ company that makes pants for people with Downs Syndrome shared examples of her designs and the process of making clothes for individuals with Downs Syndrome. Her company now makes clothing for individuals with any disability that has special requirements.
  • Dr. Nancy Rodway of the Lake County Public Health District talked about the opioid epidemic in Ohio and us aware of the severity.
